How it writes

The Reed nib is ground flat, like the cut end of a reed pen. Hold it at the angle it wants and every letter gets thick stems and thin joins on its own.

The corners are softened just enough that the nib never catches on the paper. That is what “cursive italic” means: crisp enough to show, forgiving enough to write a whole page with.

Wide nibs show ink. Moss shades from pale green to near black inside a single stroke; Ember’s gold catches the light along every down-stroke.
