WHY A SMOOTH BALL MOVES AT HALF PACE.
Every ball has a speed where the air around it changes and its drag falls away. The Hook gets there first, the Moth last. At 61 km/h the Moth still carries 2.2× the drag of the other two. From 79 km/h up it is the slickest of the three.
